Resolution No.'675 (New Series) - A Resolution withdrawing application 9
filed with the Division of ;later Resources relating to the appropriation of water from
an unnamed spring was passed and adopted on motion of R.F. Howell, seconded by W. H.Brazil
upon the following vote:
Ayes: W.H.Brazil, R.i. Howell, halph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary
Noes: None
Absent: None
Re: Franchise Santa Maria Gas Co. Matter was again discussed;'Cormnissioner
Kennedy had nothing to report at this time, as he has not-submitted schedule to the
Southern Counties Gas Co. until he confers with the City Attorney and will report back
to the Council at a later date.
On motion of W.H.Brazil, Lee Johnson, a former member of the Police Department was
reinstated without loss of seniority, rights, at a salary of $175.00 per month as of
July 15th, 1942.
On motion of R.P. Howell, Miss Plorma Simms, water dept. clerk, was placed on
a monthly salary of ¢'105.00 per month as of July 1st, 1942.
On motion of W.H. Brazil, seconded by R.P. ho- viell, the meeting adjourned to

The application for transfer of license from Red's glace by biildred nichardson,
at -1817 Osos Street to Guy M. Richardson and Frank Burrows was referred to the �om-
missioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report.
Notific.tion received from the State Board of Equalization for transfer of
license for "On_Sale Beer" from Mildred F. Richardson to Frank Burrows and Guy Richardson
was ordered received and filed.
City Clerk's report for the month of June 1942 was ordered received and filed.
The following matters were held over until the nest meeting:
Application for city license from Betty Moss for Taxicab at 546 Higuera Street.
Communication from the War Production Board
Claim against the city filed by Anita M. Unangst and Edwin Walter Unangst
