City Council met in regular session - Mayor F. C. Kimball presiding.

Absent: None
The Minutes of April 5th, 9th and 12th were read and approved as read.
The following building permits were granted on motion of R.P.Howell seconded
by W. H. Brazil:

Notific ^tion received from the State Board of Equalization for transfer of
"Off Sale Beer and Nine" and "Off Sale Distilled Spirits" from John Norton ( deceased )
to Dollie A. Norton dba John Norton Pharmacy at 796 Higuera St. and on motion of W. H.
Brazil, seconded by R.F. Howell, same was ordered filed.
A petition, together with letters protesting the dances held at the UAinn
Labor Hall was presented to the City Council. After due consideration and discussion
the matter was referred to the Police Dept, with instructions that extra police patrols
be added and the closing hour be 11:45 P. M. and on motion of H. Brazil, seconded by
R.P. Howell the petition was ordered filed.
On motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by 1,7. H. Brazil the City Clerk's report
for the month of ":larch 1943 was ordered filed.
The City Council ordered the claim paid in the amount of 7911.47 to the
Collector of Internal Revenue for Return of Victory Tax withheld for the quarter ending
March 31, 19430
On motion of ; %T. H. Brazil, seconded by R.P. Ho-,-;ell, Mr. A. 1'. Jensen was
appointed Special Police Officer to serve .without compensation from the city of San Luis
Obispo a� outlined in Sec. 5 of Ordinance No. 5 (Neva 33eries).
The new petition presented by J. "L. Bardin and referred to the City Attorney
was submitted to the Council together with the following Resolution:
Resolution No. 693 (New Series) - A Resolution Consenting to the Transfer
and Assignment of the Bus Franchise granted by Ordinance No. 224 (New Series) was passed
and adopted on motion of 1.17. H. Brazil, seconded by R.P. Hoeiell upon the following vote:
Ayes: 'U.H.Brazil, R.P.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary
Noes: None
Absent : None
Mrs. L. W. Campbell reauested permission to conduct a War Bond Parade on
Saturday April 24, 1943. Permission granted.
On motion of T,q. H. Brazil, seconded by R.P.Howell, the City Attorney was
instructed to draw up Resolution to cover plan for payroll deduction for purchase of
bonds by salaried city employees. Joseph Leary voted "No ".
On motion of 1,7.H.Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, the meeting adjourned.
