On motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by R. P. Howell, the transfer of license from 1. F. - Nolting to Nick Raya at 974 iionterey St. dba Owl Club was granted as was also the applications for city licenses filed by John Gallio for Mechanical Amuse- went Device Operator and Vending Machine Operator. Application for sidewalk and curbing filed by Harlan N. Ritchey for 80 ft. on.the east side of Chorro St. between dalnut and Fig Streets was granted on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Claims against the City for the month of February were ordered paid, subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Mayor. The petition filed by M. G. Salmina for permission to pave a portion of 304. Nipomo Street with asphaltic plant mix was granted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. The - petition filed by Boriack Bros. for permit to hang light fixture on face of building at 874 h1onterey St. was granted on'motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. The petition filed by Boriack- Bros. for an underground storage tank at 874 1:- lonterey St. was granted on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy with the provision that it be installed under the supervision of the City engirn ering Dept. and Board of Underwriters. The folloving applications for city licenses were granted on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by R.P.Howell: Boriack Bros.- I.Techanical Amusement Devices - Mrs. A. C. Hayes - Lodging House 874 Lionterey St. 1106 Broad St. Re: Communication received from C. A. Laino relative to parking condition in the 800 block on Lionterey Street; on motion of R. Kennedy the application of Marion Norton for permit to repair and remodel building on Lots 1 & 2, Block 86 at a cost of :245300. was granted. On motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by Ralph C. :ennedy the following applications were granted: Raymond A. Solario & Manuel Herrera ( dba Amapola Club) Cigars Sideline License - Soft Drintis 861 Palm St. It was ordered that the City Clerk notify the City Engineer to prepare plans for a new Fire horn tower at the rear of fire house; and to submit list of materials needed and estimate of cost; and, that the Commissioner of Supplies be authorized to purchase two new fire alarm boxes, together with necessary wire and materials necessary to install such boxes.
