Booth Bros. Standard Motor Sales On motion of Frank V. Woods, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, the above bids were referred to the Commissioner of Supplies, with power to act. Communications: 1 - Comm. from Kimball Motors, submitting price on 1 ton panel truck for Fire Dept. 2 - It " Arland Chevrolet Co. Communication from Mrs. Clara Johnston, 544 Higuera St. requesting "No Parking Zone" alone driveway was referred to the Commissioner of Public I1ealth and Safety, with power to act, on motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall. The communication from the Playhouse Nursery School Inc, requesting School Zone Signs was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for study and report. Communication from Arland Chevrolet Co. requesting 50 ft. Loading Zone in front of 1039 Monterey `?t, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for study an d report. Petition. of A. G. Albrecht asking permission to erect a 7 ft. board fence on Lot 1 Block 1, Dorton Addn. was granted by the Council on motion of D. M. Carpenter, seconded by Frank q. Woods. Claims against the City for the month of De ^ember, 19t }9 Mere ordered paid, subject to he approval of the heads of 'the respective departments and the Mayor. D., regarding Sydney Street was passed and adopted on motion of Frank V. Woods, seconddd by D.M.Carpenter, upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: D.M.Carpenter, Wm. 0. Hall, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Frank V. Woods Noes: None Absent: Kline Williams RESOLUTION NO. 939 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the Execution of an Agreement with Dr. Horace Hagen, M. D., regarding Hagen Subdivision Unit No. 1 was passed and adopted on motion of Frank V. Wocds, seconded by D. M. Carpenter upon the following vote: Ayes: D.M.Carpenter, Wm.- 0. Hall, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Frank V. Woods Noes: None Absent: Kline Williams On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Frank V. Woods the following bids were officially awarded for the calendar year 1950: 1 - Texas Co. - Gasoline, Stove Oil, kerosene and Diesel oil 2 - Shell Oil Co. - Lubricating Oils and Greases. Communication from the County Health Dept. Re: Sewer condition on S. 0. Perkins property located at South Broad St. was referred to the City Attorney with instructions to draw up contract covering conditions, andnumber of connections for sewer as requested by Mr. Perkins.
