6ity Hall,.Recreation Center, Monday, April 17, 1950 - 7:30 P.M.
The Council met in regular session; Mayor,Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: Timothy I. 0!Reilly, Kline Williams, Frank V. Woods
Absent: D.M.Carpenter, Wm. 0. Hall
The minutes of the meeting of April 3rd and Special fleeting of April 10th;.1950
were approved.
Communications:
Communication from 6harles W. Eliot, Planning Consultant of Pasadena, Calif.
offering professional services, was referred to the Planning Commission, on motion-of
KlineWilliams, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly.
Communication from San Luis Obispo City Schools requesting permission to use
Pacific Street between Essex and Johnson Ave. for drill purposes was granted on motion
of Frank !Moods, seconded by K1ineWilliams.
Communication from S.L.O. County Democratic Club requesting permission to hold
a political rally on Osos St. between Monterey and Palm St. from 11:30 A.:M. to 12:15 P.M.
on April 20th was granted on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by Frank V.Woods.
Communication from Max Salter requesting permission to hold a public street dance
on Morro Street, between Higuera and Monterey St. on April 27th, 1950 was granted on motior
of Rrank V.Woods, seconded b7 Kline Williams.
The following; applications for transfer of city licenses were granted on motion
of Frank Woods, seconded by Kline Williams:

The following applications for contractor's licenses were received and on' motion
Of Kline Williams, seconded by Frank V. Woods, the bonds were approved, sureties accepted
and registration granted:
Katherine West - Class -"E" Floor covering contractor
Richard-Van Ronk - Class "E" - Plastering Cement and Brick Work
The following reports were ordered received and filed:

The following matters were held over:
Application for Card Tables filed by Austin K. Wright
Application for Cooked Foods filed by Reginald White, dba "White's Kitchen"
Application for Self Service Laundry -Mat filed by Chas. F. Gonter
On motion of Frank V.Woods, seconded by Kline Williams, the Commissioner of
Piiblic Health and Safety was authorized to hire 2 men for vacation relief period in
the Police Dept. as of May is t, 1950.
Resolution No. 955 (New Series) - A Resolution declaring a certain portion of
Foothill Blvd. to be and constitute a Boulevard was passed and adopted on motion of
Frank Woods, seconded by Kline Williams upon the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Timothy I. O'Reilly, Kline Williams, Frank V. Woods
Noes: None
Absent: D. M. Carpenter, 11m. 0. Hall
On motion of Kline Williams, seconded by Frank Woods, the meeting adjourned.
