City Hall, Recreation Center Building, Wednesday, Oct. .1$,. 1950

The City Council met in adjourned session; Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: D.M.Carpenter, Wm. O.Hall, Timothy I.0'Reilly, Frank V.Woods
Absent: Kline Williams
Resolution No. 974 (New Series) -
A Resolution providing for acceptance by the
City of San Luis Obispo of Bid by Maino Construction Company for building of water
Filtration Plant was passed and adopted on motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Wm.O.
Hall upon the following roll call vote:
Ayes: D.M.Carpenter, Wm. O.Hall,Timothy I.O'Reilly, Frank V. Woods
Noes: None
Absent: Kline Williams
On motion of Wm. O.Hall, seconded by Frank V.Woods the City Clerk was instructed
to advertise for Bids on the Murray^Street Bridge -- bids to be opened November 6, 1950
at 7:30 P. M.
The Bond for Faithful Performance written by the Glenn Falls Indemnity Co. of
Glen Falls, New York as surety, in'the amount of- $25,000 and The Trojan Construction Co.
as principal, was approved by the Council on motion of Wm.•O.iiall, seconded by Frank
V.Woods.
It was ordered that the map of Tract No. 60 be accepted by the City Council and
the City Engineer and City Clerk be authorized to sign on behalf of the City, on motion of
Wm.O. Hall, seconded by Frank V. Woods.
By common consent of the Council, the City Attorney was authorized to negotiate
with Kirkbride - Wilson, Harzfeld and Wallace Re: Assessment proceedings for Sewer District.
On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, the City Clerk was instructed
to call for Bids for Public Auction of approximately 10 acres of Laguna property- -.bids
to be received u^ to 7:30 P.M., Nov. 6, 1950 and oral bidding from the floor, after the
opening of the bids.
The Council then turned to consideration of the sale of $300,000.00 Water
Filtration Plant Bonds. Comments and opinions of members of the Council were heard.
After brief discussion on the matter the Council recessed until 1:30 P.M.

The Council called to order by Mayor O'Reilly.
After further discussion of matters previously discussed the Council recessed
until 6:30 P.M.

the City Clerk
call for bids on the sale of $300,000.00 Bond issue -- Bids
to be opened
at the meeting
of November 20, 1950, at 7:30 P.M. upon the following roll
call vote:
Ayes: Wm.O. Hall, Kline Williams Frank V.Woods
Noes: D.M.Carpenter, Timothy I. O'Reilly
Absent: None
