M.Carpenter, Paul W.Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly,Frank V.Woods 1.4bsent : None The Minutes of the meeting of Sept. 17, 1Q51 i•rere approved. IFirFt order of business: Communication from Fxchanee Club applying for permission to exhibit a car on the City Streets from Sept. 28th thru Dec. 15, 1951 to solicit donations, was granted on motion of Frank V.Woods, seconded by Paul W. Davis. The following communications were ordered received and filed on motion of Frank V.doods seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly: Card of thanks from Edna-M. Finney Letter of thanks from Paso Robles Shrine Club Bonn written by Hartford Accident and Tndemnity Co. covering the Valley Paving and Construction Co. Inc. for Labor and Materials onthe Santa Rosa St.Imp. Job. was presented to the Council and on motion of Paul W. Davis, seconded by Frank V. Woods, the Bond was approved and surety accepted. Contract on Santa Rosa St. .Imp. with Valley Paving and Construction Co. was signed by the Mayor and City Clerk at this time as per Resolution No. 1044 (New Series) accepting the Bid. The City.Attorney presented a Proposed Ordinance amending Traffic Ordinance ( Parking Limits and Loading Zones); after discussion, Commissioner Lucksinger suggested making a 10 minute Parkin; Limit in.front of the bus station effective 24 hours per day; by common consent of the Council, the matter was held over. Resolution No. 1046 (New Series) - • . A Resolution accepting Deed of Easement for Foothill Blvd. Sanitary Imp. District ( Bressi nro perty) was passed and adopted on motion of D. M. Carnenter, seconded by Paul W.- Davis upon the following roll call vote: Ares: D.M.Carpenter, Paul 11. Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Frank V.Woods Noes: None Absent: None Resolution No. 1047 (New Series) - A Resolution accepting Deed-of Easement ( Re: ? ^:alter Gilmore property) was passed and adopted on motion of D.M.Carpenter,;seconded by Paul W. On motion of D.M.Carnenter, seconded by Timothy I.O'Reilly, the Council approved and accented the work on, (1) Maino Construction Co., Pavrgent No. 10 - Re: Water Filtration Plant,' Amt.$ 5672.09 (2) 1t1m. Hol�redge, Progress Pymt. No. 11 - " City Hall Building - " 350.00 It was ordered that Richard Bettencourt, be refunded n3.00 on Building permit qo. 51 -272 filed August 27, 1951 - work hot started. Estimate of cost to-install Air Raid Alarm System was again held over until fter the State League Meeting,at Mayor O'Reilly's request, on motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded b•. Paul W. Davis. Communication from Governor Earl Warren Re: statewide plan in solving human and community problems arising from mobilization was ordered received andfiled. Cnrn.munication from G.R.Peter =on Re: Radio supplies was ordered received and led on motion of Fred Lucksinaer, seconded by D.M.Carpenter, On motion of D.M.Cerpenter, seconded by Paul W.Davis it was ordered the final. cceptance of work on contract with 14% M. Lyles & Co. covering Santa Rosa Street Water ine Imp. be approved and accepted. On motion of D.M.Csrpenter, and by common consent of the Council, it was rdered. that Robert Wright be hired as a regular employee in the Public Work= Dept. at a salary of $268.00 per month as of Ocf.lst, 1951. It was moved by D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Paul I1•1.Davis that the City Attorney )P instructed to draft Resolution authorizing Contract with Harry Jenks for designing Sewer effluent ponds at Sewer. Disposal Plant, Robert Stranahan was appointed regular Police Officer on a six months pro -. tionery period as of Oct. 1st, 1951 on piotion of Frank V.Woods, seconded by Timothy. I. 'Rei.11y.
