Present: D.M.Carpenter, Paul W.Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Frank V.Woods , Absent: None The Minutes of the meeting of Feb. 18th and Feb. 25th, 1952 were approved. . The Bond written by the Fidelity and Casualty Co. of New York inthe amount of $25,000 as surety, and Harald N.Nielsen and Earl S.Roberts as Principal, for Faithful Performance on Subdivision Work was approved and surety accepted and signed by the Council on motion of Paul W. Davis, seconded by Fred Lucksinger. The application of Clyde Beatty Circus for a circus performance May 8,-1952 was granted on motion of Frank V.Woods, seconded by D.M.Carpenter. Commuhication from City of Burbank, together with certified copy of Resolution No. 8349 opposing Proposed County Supervisor Assn. for a 4% State Sales Tax to be participated in by the Counties was ordered received and filed on motinn of D.M.Carpenter,mseconded by by Frank V.Woods. Copy of Minutes of City Planning Commission Meeting of January 17, 1952 was ordered received and filed. Communication from Robert Edwards Re: claim for flood damages at 754 Lincoln Ave. was referred to the Insurance Carrier on motion of Paul W.Davis, seconded by D. M.Carpente Communication from San Luis Obispo Art Assn. Re: mural painting in new City Hall was ordered received and filed. Communication from Park, Playground and Rec. Commission Re: park property known as "South Entrance Park" was referred to the Park Department. Communication from Divisionof Highways requesting cancellation of taxes on the following property was granted on motion of Frank V.Woods, seconded by PaulmW.Davis: 1 - John J. Lewelling et al Part of Block 69 2 - Emma H. Keller, Part of Lots 2 and 3 Brizzolara Addn. 3 - Leota Villa Part of Lot 1 Blk 72 4 - Belle Lopez Sly half of Lot 4 Blk 73 5 - E.S.Hamilton Part of Blk 150, Harford Addn. Claims against the City for the month of Febryary, 1952, were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Mayor. C.R.Farrar, representing the General Petroleum Co. and Paul Merrick, owner of property on French Road appeared before the City Council requesting annexation of the above property. The matter was referred to the City Attorney and City Clerk, also, to submit a map of the property. Mr. H. W. Ditlevesen, Mgr. of the S.L.O.Meat Co. appeared before the Council appealing for help in solving a fire protection problems at their plant which is located outside the City Limtts; after discis sion, and on motionof Fred Lucksinger, seconded by Paul W.Davis the Council voted to create a Committee to work with Mr. Ditlevsen. Named on the committee were Mayor O'Reilly, Commissioner Davis and Commissioner Lucksinger.
