LIAR 10
Mr. Hector appeared before the City Council regarding the proposal for
preparation of a master plan.
FIRE STATION NO. 3 -- EQUIPMENT
Administrative Officer Miller stated that Fire Chief Schlobohm had
requested that he be allowed to begin purchasing equipment for Fire
Station #3, presently under construction, before the building was
completed, for example, a fire alarm system, refrigerator, stove,
oven, etc.
The City Council-stated they could see no reason for this at this
time- -that the chief should wait and present this through the normal
budget procedure.
BEL -AIR MANOR
At this time the City Council discussed the problems attendant to the
development of the Bel -Air Manor, Tract 188, particularly development
of sewer and contribution by the City, if any.
Mr. Jenks explained various sewer proposals for the Council's consider-
ation. He recommended that the best over -all development for the area
would be construction of a major trunk line to the present sewage
treatment plant.
Mr. Jones, State Water Pollution Board, reported regarding the dis-
posal of effluent from sewage treatment plants. He pointed out that
development in Tract 188 had been presently approved for 250 homes
only, due to possible stream pollution problems.
Mr. Jones concurred with Mr.:Jenks' recommendation that a trunk line
be run to the present sewage treatment plant if at all possible.
On motion of Gerald W. Shipsey, seconded by J. Barry Smith, the meeting
adjourned at 7:25 P.M.
Approved this 21st day of March, 1960.
