Mayor Waters thanked the students who participated-in "Youth in Government
Day" and hoped that they had acquired a little of the basic knowledge of
running the City. He thanked Jim Douglas, who has been a guiding light
in this youth activity for the City and the Elks Club for sponsoring such
a worth while project.
On motion of Gerald W. Shipsey, seconded by Kenneth W. Jones, the meeting
adjourned to 5:00 P.M., Friday, May 6,. 1960.

ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
May 9, 1960
CITY HALL
The City Council met in Adjourned Meeting with Mayor Fred M. Waters
presiding.
ROLL CALL: Present - Kenneth W. Jones, Donald Q. Miller, Gerald W. Shipsey,
J. Barry Smith, Fred M. Waters.
Absent - None
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Administrative Officer Miller, City Attorney
Houser, City Engineer Romero, Police Chief Schofield, Planning
-:,Director Abraham, City Clerk Fitzpatrick.
1. The City Council considered the acceptance of the final map of Tract 169,
Laguna Park Homes, subdivision by Ray C. Skinner.
Mr. Romero, City Engineer, presented for Council consideration the final
map and the agreement setting forth the conditions for acceptance.
Mr. Romero briefed the agreement for the Council with particular reference
to the sewer and water development and the diversion of Prefumo Canyon
Creek.
After discussion by the City Council it was moved by J. Barry Smith,
seconded by Kenneth W. Jones, that Resolution No. 670 be adopted,
on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Kenneth W. Jones, Donald Q. Miller, Gerald W. Shipsey, 1
J. Barry Smith, Fred M. Waters.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
RESOLUTION NO. 670 (1960 Series), "A .Resolution Approving Final Map
of Tract 169, Laguna Park Homes."
2. A City Council committee consisting of councilmen Jones and Shipsey
presented their report on recommending adjustment in garbage collection
rates to the Council.
