County Supervisor Kimball explained in general the tcunty Board of Supervisors' °eelings regardinS the proposed contract for importin a water supply from the Feather River. fL. Kimball stated that he urged the County to sign the contract at this time and pay for their share of the constructicn facilities to Avenal Gap; then in 1975 the Co-. -nty can decide whether they wish.to join Santa Barbara County in the construction of the acueduct, dependin on the water situation in the County at that time, and then if' not needed, mere is no question that the County could sell its share of the water to.some other a;enr_y in southern California on in the central valley. The City Council discussed with Supervisor Kimball some of the general pro- visions of the proposed contract for Feather Liver water. Robert Born, County Hydraulic =ngineer, then presented to the City Council an anaylsis of the proposed contract between the State and the Co my for im- porting water from the - either River project. (See Iclume II and III of ;;he detailed analysis of the proposed contract.) The City Council discussed various aspects cf the proposer` contract be- tween the State and County for an imported water supply. Councilman Ailler thanked Supervisor Kimball for at-�;endin, the rneetin: and also :r. On a ,Motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councili•:eman McNeil, that the City Council go on record as urging the County Board of Supervisors tc sign the con - tracL irrith the State of California to import ,rater tc the county of San Luis Obispo from the Feather =Liver Project.
