On motion of Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Springs that .Palm Street
between Grove and Grand A venue be closed for ri es and concessions on May 222"
23 and 24, 1970s with closing not to go beyond midnight on May 22 and 23 and not
beyond 6:00 P.M. on May 24th, and providing that the area in front of the.resi-
dences on Palm Street not be blocked. Motion carried. Councilman Blake.'voting no.
On motion of Councilman Spring, seconded by Councilman Graham, that a parade per-
-
mit be issued for La Vesta for May 23, 1970 with M guera Street to be closed:
from 6:00 P.M. to 12:00 Noon. Motion carried,
On motion of Councilman Spring, seconded by Councilman Blake, that the Fiesta
Association be authorized to use the City owned property at Laguna Lake for
a gymkhana and horse riding event. Motion carried.
24, On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Blake, the meeting
adjourned to May , 1970 at :30 P.M. Motion carried,

le The Council reviewed Capital.Improvement Plan priorities to date consisting
of items 1 thru 199
2, The City Council continued their study of the Capital•Iiaprovement Plan and
established the following priorities to be included:
Item 20e (E-24) Sewer line replacements for lines blocking drains at Marsh
near Santa Rosa, Nipomo near Monterey, Foothill near Cuesta and
Andrews Street Bridge.
Item 20Ae (E-50) Street widening,on•the east side of Johnson Avenue.from
Lizzie Street to San Luis Drive*
Item 21. (E -14) Sewer-line enlargement - South Street west of Higuera. .
Item 22, (E -15) Sewer line enlargement - Madonna Inn force main.
