The City Council continued their study of the proposed 1980 -1981 Budget starting with Page 48: Page No. Department Council Action 48 City Attorney Eliminate contract and add-Geoff Grote !.;, time to $5200. 49 City Clerk Accept recommendation 50 Elections Exp. Accept recommendation Councilman Bond arrived at the meeting 51 Finance Administration Add $5,000 for 2 IBM Data Entry Stations 52 Personnel Admin. Add full time clerk rather than !� time, + $6260. 37 -45 Debt Service Expendit. Accept recommendation 95 Equipment Replacement Accept recommendation 97 C.I.P. 1980 -1981 Lengthy discussion by City Council on priority of capital projects as presented in budget and comparison with preliminary listing: NOTE: CIP Item 8 left off budget in error. Council added back as follows: 8 -A - Library Building Reserve 8 -B - Promotional Facilities Reserve 2:05 p.m. Councilman Bond left the meeting. 98 CIP Streets & Sidewalks Accept recommendation .99 CIP Water Utilities Add reservoir cover for Reservoir No. 2 $250,000 for 1981 -1982 100 CIP Sewer System Accept recommendation 2. Other Council Actions: A. City Council added $10,000 to the budget for Energy_Conservation Program and Studies. B. City Council asked that a report be prepared on city -owned land surplus to city's need for disposal by sale or gift. C. The matter of the requested Planning Commission salary to be on July 8 Council meeting for discussion. D. CAO to look into a program on system where department heads would receive a monthly payment or reimbursement for use of personal cars rather than use city owned vehicles. E. Councilman Dunin requested that the City Clerk reissue copies of resolution calling for Council salary increases. 2.
