SPECIAL BUDGET MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL

2005-07 FINANCIAL PLAN COMMUNITY FORUM a
CAO Hampian and Finance Director Statler provided an overview of the goal- setting
process, current goals and the fiscal outlook for 2005 -07, following which Facilitator
Maruska explained the interactive process designed for this forum.
There were approximately 150 participants in this forum. During the Public Comment
period, approximately 50 members of the public provided input on the issues and goals that
were of priority to them. Their comments were recorded and all participants were provided
an opportunity to "cast a vote" next to seven ideas that they thought should be top
priorities. Feedback from this community forum is summarized in Section 5 of the 2005 -07
Financial Plan Goal Setting Workshops binder which is on file in the City Clerk's office.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Romero adjourned
the meeting at 9:30 p.m. to Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber,
990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
