For a variety of reasons, including the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Representative economy, lack of affordable housing, and limited shelter beds, motor homes, Paul Wolff trailers and cars that line some of the city streets are the temporary "homes" for Community Representative & Liaison to CAPSLO some of the city's homeless population. Residents sleeping in vehicles with no Susan Devine oversight or restroom facilities create a wide variety of health and safety issues Officers: for themselves as well as the community at large. Roy Rawlings Thank you for your careful consideration to this proposal and continued President partnership in supporting the important services and those who provide them to Community Representative On March 13, 2012 the Friends of the Prado Day Center Board of Directors voted Alex Gough Vice President unanimously to support the Prado Day Center Safe Parking six month pilot SLO Downtown Association program. The proposed pilot program would create up to 5 "safe parking" spaces Carol Devore at the Prado Day Center on Prado Road. These spaces will be reserved for clients Secretary to reside temporarily while they work with a case manager toward self sufficiency Community Representative and permanent housing. The Prado Day Center currently provides services to Tim Blair Treasurer homeless individuals and families and it would be a natural fit to provide "safe Community Representative parking" at Prado to the homeless individuals who are working toward permanent Board Members: housing. Mitch Ardantr Community Representative Cory Black We believe that the City understands the significant need for the program and has Community Representative agreed to work with the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo Co. to Chuck Crotser Community Representative address this need. We believe that this would be a win - win -win situation for the Diana Foch city, local businesses, and the homeless population.
