SUBJECT: Alternative language for Resolution limiting outdoor irrigation (Item C -11)
In response to a Council Member's inquiry, staff re- evaluated the section about the effective date
and term of the outdoor irrigation restrictions. Staff is now proposing the following language:
REVISED PROPOSAL:
SECTION 3. Effective Date and Term. The effective date of this Resolution is July 16, 2015.
This Resolution shall remain in effect until the State Water Board rescinds or allows expiration
of the Emergency Regulations and the City Council formally rescinds its Drought Emergency
declaration.
ORIGINAL PROPOSAL:
SECTION 3. Effective Date and Term. The effective date of the Resolution is July 16, 2015.
This Resolution shall remain in effect until and shall automatically expire on February 28, 2016,
unless the State Water Board extends or rescinds the Emergency Regulations in which case this
Resolution shall be so extended or shall so terminate so that the restrictions on outdoor irrigation
set forth in Section 1 above run concurrently with the life of the Emergency Regulations.
