Councilman Carter inquired about the width of the various lanes (bike & car) pre and post
project that correspond with the diagrams on the last page of Tuesday's agenda report (B1 -24).
The purpose of this memo is to provide this information to the rest of the Council as well.
Existing vehicle lanes range from I V to 12' with 6' to 7' bike lanes. The new street section will
be 10' to 11' vehicle lanes with 6' to 7' bike lanes. These are the same lane widths as are
currently striped on Los Osos Valley Road between Oceanaire & Madonna, if the Council is
interested in seeing how this section will look after the project is complete.
