Dear Councilmember Marx,
I strongly believe that the California DISCLOSE Act (AB1648) will be a powerful force in restoring
confidence of the people in elections and in their elected leaders.
The Reverend Dr. Rick Schlosser, Executive Director of California Church IMPACT, described the clear
need for AB 1648 when he said 'The overwhelming power of money to mislead voters is a profound moral
issue'
It,Os a good idea to make sure that political ads have to clearly state who their largest funders are. If
federal candidates have to stand by their ad, then special interests should, too.
Please represent me and all of your constituents by endorsing bringing us the most accountable
government possible with real disclosure.
