Dear Councilmember Marx,
I am disheartened by all the hidden spending by Super PACS. California needs to take action so that at
least voters know who they are here. That's why I hope you'I help pass AB 1648, the California
DISCLOSE bill.
Even the Supreme Court brought up the issue disclosure, with eight out of nine justices in the Citizens
United decision stating that 'transparency enables the electorate to make informed decisions'
Independent expenditures have increased more than 6,000% in California since 2000. Voters and the
candidates themselves deserve to know who is behind those ads
Please be sure to vote for endorsing A.B. 1648. Thank you!
