Subject: Please vote to endorse AB 1648, the CA DISCLOSE Act
Dear Councilmember Marx,
I want you to know that I strongly support A.B. 1648, the political disclosure bill. I personally believe that
true transparency and disclosure is one of the most important and fundamental issues facing California
and our country today.
Wouldn't it be so much better if voters knew which special interests were attacking you, rather than being
in the dark about who was really paying for the attacks?
Even the Supreme Court brought up the issue disclosure, with eight out of nine justices in the Citizens
United decision stating that 'transparency enables the electorate to make informed decisions'
It is time for true reform. I strongly urge you to vote for endorsing A.B. 1648.
