It is imperative that the city maintain its boundary as a unit, separate from other municipalities and from county suburban sprawl. This property will help do just that. It is satisfying to see those open spaces that the city has already acquired slowly forming up around the perimeter, offering views, recreational opportunities, a wild lands interface, and the sense of continuity for the city itself.
