Dear City Council members Smith, Carpenter, Carter, Ashbaugh, and Mayor Marx:
I am writing to sttongly urge you to support the acquisition of the Goldtree Vineyard Tract property above
Alrita Street as open space for the city. It is imperative that the city maintain its boundary as a unit, separate
from other municipalities and from county suburban sprawl. This property will help do just that. It is satisfying
to see those open spaces that the city has already acquired slowly forming up around the perimeter, offering
views, recreational opportunities, a wild lands interface, and the sense of continuity for the city itself. Please
continue this process with a vote to acquire this property at your June 5th meeting.
Sincerely,
Mary J. Ljung
