Subject: Support of the City's acquisition of the Goldtree Vineyard Tract for open space
Dear Mayor Marx, Councilmen Ashbaugh, Carter, Carpenter and Councilwoman Smith,
In regard to Item 133 on the June 5th Council Meeting Agenda - "Adoption of a resolution approving [..] agreement [..] to
purchase 89 acres of property above Johnson Avenue [ ... ]., I urge you to approve the sale agreement and to authorize
negotiation to amend the existing conservation easement, Reservoir Canyon, to include this 89 acre parcel above
Johnson Avenue.
Thanks to the work of staff negotiating this purchase, the city has viable opportunity to permanently add to San Luis
Obispo's open space greenbelt. As has been shown many times, residents place a very high value on open space in and
around our community.
Sincerely,
Madelyn Millholland
