A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO, CALIFORNIA, UPDATING THE CITY'S MASTER FEE
SCHEDULE TO REFLECT INCREASES BASED ON THE ANNUAL
CHANGE IN THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2009 the City Council approved a revised cost of services fee
study following a series of workshops and public hearings; and
WHEREAS, the Master Fee Schedule is required to be updated annually for changes in
the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in accordance with the City's Budget Policies and was last
updated in 2013; and
WHEREAS, the Master Fee Schedule has been updated as appropriate to reflect changes
in the CPI that have occurred since the last update in the cumulative amount of 2.31% and is
provided as an attachment to this resolution which is incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, the amounts shown for utility user charges may be revised upon the final
implementation of the new rates which were separately approved by the City Council on June 16,
2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. The Master Fee Schedule shown as an attachment to this resolution is
hereby adopted as amended for the change in the Consumer Price Index, except that the
individual fees calculated for planning review, engineering, building inspection and development
impact fees by the land management and permitting system may differ from those shown in the
attached Master Fee Schedule by no more than one dollar ($1.00) due to rounding differences
generated by that system.
SECTION 2. The effective date of the new fees is July 1, 2015.
SECTION 3. The authority to approve future changes in the Master Fee Schedule to
reflect annual changes in the CPI is hereby delegated to the City Manager.
