HomeMy WebLinkAboutLRC3Tourism Business Improvement District Marketing Subcommittee Meeting Minutes June 25, 2015 – 9:30 am PRESENT: Walker STAFF PRESENT: Molly Cano, Tourism Manager BUSINESS ITEMS Due to Commissioner Walker being the sole representative from the Marketing Committee present at the meeting, key time sensitive items were discussed briefly for the purpose of moving business forward in a timely manner. All other agenda items were postponed until the July meeting. 1. Website Rebuild Project Staff distributed the initial scope of for the website redesign project. StudioGood presented examples of website features that might be considered for the direction on the website redesign. These features included and itinerary builder, social integration (Instagram), Q+A or ask section, map, and calendar of events. They discussed aligning the calendar of event with the SLO happenings calendar. The marketing team and staff will continue to the process for the creative brief and bring the updates to the committee in July. 2. SAVOR 2015 Staff and BCA presented the “Art Bar” concept as the initial idea for City of SLO activation at the main event of SAVOR 2015. The concept would be three line drwn water color designs would be available for the patrons to paint at the event and take home with them as mementos. The posters would be design as seen in the Just Looking Gallery in downtown SLO of notable SLO landmarks like: Bishop Peak, Farmers Market, Octagon Barn, and Edna Valley.
