Neighborhood Matching Grants, that's what! It would be great to have a neighborhood block party program that included an emergency preparedness element. We know that in order to increase our resiliency as a city it is essential to grow stronger bonds within neighborhoods and to empower citizens with good information to help each other in the event of a natural disaster. With our changing climate we will likely face more challenges that we need to be prepared for and this block party program will give us the skills and relationships we need to face them. This program could be a state or even national role model and may qualify for some of the increasing money going to climate change adaptation efforts. Please see below for model program and I look forward to talking with you more at tonight's meeting. Thank you for being a leader and for considering this program, Heidi Harmon Neighborfest J Empowersf Neighborfest I Empowersf Ilorcc= \7.°it14rljo fi. t Ncr;;lhf; 1'esix\?"I,'i; "!'alld (he NFN L,)tu 1h clic, Ncighlmwfcsl: Bloo k 11orty C'ampaigti ' D 3 T q E7a Vk-; -v on onopowor sf.ory P1,eV10w bV `(micro (J;i2d D \'%.-J AUG 1 B 2015 6.
