HomeMy WebLinkAbout1100I 1y �- ORDINANCE NO.1100 (1987 SERIES) AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING SECTION 10.64.030 (PARKING FINES) AND, AMENDING SECTION 10.64.040 (DISPOSITION OF FINE AND FORFEITURES) OF CHAPTER 10.64 (PARKING REVENUES, FINES AND FORFEITURES) OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO MUNICIPAL CODE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. Section 10.64.030 of the San Luis Obsipo Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 01.64.030 Parking fines. The fines authorized for parking violations in other sections of this code shall be as follows: Code Sections 10.36.010 - 10.36.040 10.36.050- 10.36.240 10.40.010- 10.40.030 10.40.040- 10.40.080 10.44.010- 10.44.060 10.52.050 - 10.52.060 Fine - -Each Offense $20.00 10.00 10.00 5.00 20.00 5.00 SECTION 2. Section 10.64.040 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 10.64.040 Disposition of fine and forfeitures. All fines and forfeitures collected upon conviction or upon forfeiture of bail of any person charged with a violation of any of the provisions of this title, shall be paid into the city treasury and 50% shall be deposited in a special fund to be known as the "street improvement fund" and 50% shall be deposited in another special fund to be known as the "parking fund ". From the "street improvement fund" shall be appropriated such moneys as from time to time may be authorized by the Council for the 0 -1100 Ordinance No. 1100 (1987 Series) Page Two. purchase and maintenance of official traffic signs, signals, lights and paint neceessary to designate the provisions of this title, and the balance of such fund shall be used exclusively in the construction, maintenance and improvement of public streets within the city. "Parking fund" moneys shall be distributed for the purposes described in Section 10.64.010. SECTION 3. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage in the Telegram- Tribune, a newpaper published and circulated in said City and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said final passage.
