ORDINANCE NO. 1157 (1989 SERIES) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING SECTION 17.22.010 OF THE ZONING REGULATIONS TO ALLOW POSTAL OFFICES AND SERVICES IN THE C -N (NEIGHBORHOOD - COMMERCIAL) ZONE WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings to consider an amendment, to the zoning regulations allowing postal offices and services in the C -N (Neighborhood - Commercial) zone as illustrated in Exhibit "A" in accordance with Section 65800 et.seq. of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed zoning text amendment is. consistent with the general plan; and WHEREAS, the rezoning has been evaluated in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the city's Environmental Impact Procedures and Guidelines and a negative declaration has been granted by the city; and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning promotes the public health, safety and general welfare; and follows: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as SECTION 1. That the text amendment to Section 17.22.010 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code (Zoning Regulations) attached hereto marked "Exhibit A" and included herein by reference, be approved. SECTION 2. After City Council review and consideration, the determination of the Community Development Director to approve a negative declaration is hereby confirmed. SECTION 3. A summary of this ordinance, approved by the City Attorney, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once at least five (5) 1157 r. Ordinance No. 1157 (1989 Series) R1460 Page 2 days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said city, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said passage. A copy of the full text of this ordinance shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk on and after the date following introduction and passage to print and shall be available to any interested member of the public.
