S.E'CTION 1. 11 special municipal ele.etion is hereby called and
the proposition of incurring a debt and bonding said City in the
amo=ts and for the purposes hereinafter set forth is submitted and
at said election will be submitted to the qualified.electors of said
City.
SECTION 2. The objects and purposes for which said indebted-
nes's is proposed to be incurred, and the estimated cost of the- proposed
acquisitions and improvements, are as follows, to —wit:
(1) The construction of an Imhoff tank at and on that certain.
real property belonging to said City and known as and called the City
Farm and the construction of an outfall sever line connecting said
Imhoff Tank with the present sewer system of said City, together with
the incidental trork in connection with such improvement, the estimated
cost thereof being $a 16,000.00; and the extension of the present. sewer
system of said City by the. construction of new sewers within said City,
including new sewers upon the following streets:
On Uountain View Street from North Broad Street westerly 300 fee -t;
On Peach Street from Y -orro Street to Chorr..o Street;
On Chorro Street from hill Stree.t to Peach Street;\
On Johnson Street from First Street to Second Street;
On Johnson Street from Palm Street to I;,onterey Stre-et;
On Gr�.nd Avenue from Palm Street to 17.ill Street;'
On Ella.Street from Santa Rosa Street to Ruth Street;
On High Street iron Bushnell. Street to Rachael Street;
On Haskin Street from Bushnell Street to Rachael Street;
On North Broad Street northerly 700 feet from the present sewer;
On Broad Street from Higuera Street to Monterey Street;
On Palm Street near the intersection of Chorro Street;
the estimated cost thereof being $� 9,000.00.
to –wit:
(2) The acquisition of the following described real property
1--1.11 those certain lots, ?metes or parcels of land, commonly
known as the s'Ex position Park ", situate., lying and being in the County
of San Luis Obispo, State. of California, particularly described as
follows, to wit:
411 that part of Lot Ten (10) of the Beebee and Phillips
Tract ( now partly in the City of San Luis Obispo, California)
in Section 35, Township 30 South, of Rarige 12 East, ICI. D. Y.
as surveyed by R. R. Harris in November, 1874, a Yap of which
Survey is on file in the Office of the County Recorder of the
County of-San Luis Obispo, particularly described as follows, to --wit:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the East line of
the said Lot 10 with the South line of South Stre -et of the City
of San Luis Obispo, California, said point being 20 feet South
of the stake "517*49 at the Northeast corner of said Lot. 10, and
being also at the Northeast corner of Lot 7 of the Southside
Villa Tract in the said Lot 1.0 as per the 11p of the last named
tract which was filed for record in the Office of the County
Pecorder of said County of San Luis Obispo on November l'st.,
1915, and running thence on lot lines, S. 00 15' E. 1628.5 feet
to the Southeast corner of said Lot 10 and also the Southeast
corner of Lot 12 of the said Southside. Villa Tract; N. 890 50' I_.
2098.2 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 15 of the said
Southside. Villa Tract; N. 00 37t E. 621.0 feet to point in Cheat .
line of said Lot 15; N. 870 55' E. 101.7 feet; N. 2° 50' U.
190.7 feet; N. 01 02' W. 62.0 feet; N. 890 58' E. 12.0 feet to
a point in the East line of Block 7 of the Sunnyside Addition to the
City of San Luis Obispo as per Map thereof on file in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County of San Luis
Obispo from which the South East corner of the said Block 7 bears
S. 00 021 E. 14.0 feet distant; N. 00 021 E. 176.6 feet along
the East line of Block 7; N. 290 14' E. 30.75 feet; N. 01 02' E.
162.6 feet to the. center line of Funston Street in the beforenamed
Sunnyside l.ddition; thence along the last named Street line, S. 890
58' VI. 97.6 feet; N. 01 24' 1W. 36.0.0 feet to a point in the South
line of South Street beforenamed and in the North line of Lot 1
of the. Southside Villa Tract from which the. North Vest corner
of said Lot 1 bears- S. 891 58' W. 20 feet distant; thence .
along the last named Street line N. 891 58' E. 2069.4 feet to
the point of beginning, and containing 76.75 acres of land, a
little more or less.

The estimated cost thereof being 0 25,000.00.
(3) The acquisition of the following described real property,
I'll those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, coimonly
lalol,m ass the "Filler and Lux Laguna Property", situate, lying and
being in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and
-particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Lots or subdivisions known and designated 11DD" (containing
391.39 acres of land); Lot or subdivision known and designated 11811
(containing 21.13 acres of land) and Lot or subdivision known and.
designated "S" (containing 22.47 acres of land); being parts of the
Rancho "La Laguna ", as laid down and designated on the neap and -
survey of the re— subdivisions of Lots numbered 58- 61- 62 -63 -64 and
65 of James T. Stratton's survey and 11ap of the Subdivisions of the
Ranchos Canada de Lou Osos and La Laguna as surveyed and re— subdivided
by R. R. Harris, surveyor in January, Pi. D. 1875.
The estimated cost thereof being 0 25,000.00.
SECTION 3. By resolution No. 219 (New Series) regularly'
adopted at Fa previous meeting of this Council by favorable vote of
over two — thirds of all the members of this Council it was determined
and declared that all the. improvements and acquisitions mentioned in
Section 2 of this ordinance are demanded by the public interest and
by the public necessity; that the estimated cost thereof is as set .
forth in said Section 2; and that the cost of said acquisitions and
in;proverments-, and of each thereof, is too great to be paid out of
the ordinary annual income and revenue of said City..
SECTION 4. The. amount of the principal of the. indebtedness
proposed to be incurred is $ 75,000.00 and the rate of interest to be
paid on said indebtedness is five Per centum per annum, payable
semi - annually, both principal and interest payable' in Gold Coin of
the United States of America.
SECTION 5. The manner of holding said. election shall be as
followrs
(1) Lz provide -d for in this ordinance.
(2) As provided by law for holding elections of the kind
herein called in said City.
Tickets must be of ordinary election ticket paper and of
such size and shape as to contain the propositions to be submitted
at the election hereby called. The heading of such tickets must be
substantially as. follows: "General loun c pal Election and Consolidated
Charter Amendment and Bond Election, City of San Luis Obispo."
The propositions to be, submitted at such election must be
printed on such tickets substantially as follows:

Bonding for Imhoff Tank, outfall sewer-and
incidental work in connection therewith, NO

Bonding for the Acquisition of the real YES
property commonly known as "Exposition
Park ", Q 25,000.00 NO
Bonding for the L.- equisition of the real YES
property commonly known as 11Rrliller and Luz
Laguna property, 0 25,000.00 NO
Said words "YES" and "NO" shall be opposite -each of said
propositions and in separate lines and opposite each of said words
WM'So and "NO" there shall be a voting square.
Each voter shall indicate his wish to vote in favor of a.
proposition by stamping or causing to be stamped a cross (X) in.'the
voting square opposite the word "YES" and. shall indicate his wish to
vote against the proposition by stamping or causing to be stamped a
cross (X} in the voting square opposite. the word "NO ".
Substantially the following shall be printed at the top. of
the face of the ticket:
"INSTi?UCTIONS TO VOTERS: To vote in favor of Charter
amendments and bonding provisions, stamp a. cross ()r} in the voting
square opposite the word, "Yes ". To vote. against Charter.amendments_
and bonding provisions, stamip a cross (X) in the voting square
opposite the word, "No ". L11 marks except the cross (X) are forbidden.
1111 distinguishing marks or erasures are forbidden and make the ballot
void. If you wrongly stamp, tear or deface this ballot, return it. to
the Inspector of Election, and obtain another."
SEC1TION 6. Said election is hereby called for and shall be.
held on the 4th. day of April, 1.927, in said City of Sin Luis Obispo,
and notice. thereof is hereby given.

7. The election called
by this
ordinance is

the General Municipal
Election
to be held
in the
City of San Luis Obispo on the 4th. day of April, 1927, and reference.
is hereby made to the Election Proclamation and Resolution of the
City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo calling said General
Yunicipgl Election, which said election proclamation and resolution
is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said. City.
The precincts, pollong places and officers of election for
the purposes of the election hereby called shall be the same as those
set forth in said Election Proclamation and Reaolution of said City
Council., calling said General Municipal Election to be held on the
4th. day of April, 1927.
SECTION 8. This ordinance, is hereby declared to be urgent
and necessary to the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and safety, in this## That the Imhoff Tank and outfall sewer, togetherw
with the incidental work in connection therewith, and the sewer
extensions mentioned in this ordinance, and each of them, are necessary
to provide said. City with an adequate sewage disposal plant and with
adequate sewers; that said City has at present no adequate system of
parks and the, acquisition. of the real property mentionedvin this
ordinance, commonly known as "Exposition Park ", is necessary to
provide said City with a park; that said City now holds an option on
the real property mentioned in this ordinance, commonly known as the
"Miller and Lux-Laguna, Property" and that it is necessary to exercise
such option and to acquire said real property and the appurtenances
thereto; and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its final passage.
SECTION 9. This ordinance, together with the -.yes and Noes,
,
shall be published for two days in the "Daily Telegram ", a daily
nevrspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, before. its-
final passage, and shall thereafter be. published once a day for at
least seven days before said election in said "Daily Telegram ". No
other notice of such election need be given.
