An ordinance fixing rates for gas and electricity furnished
the inhabitants of the City of Sari Luis Obispo, California.
Be it ordained by the Council._of the City of San Luis .Obispo,
as follows: --
Section I.
That-for the period commencing on the 1st day of °July, 1912,
and ending . on .tire 30th day of June, 1913, the maximum rates of
compensation which any person or persons, firm, company, association
or corporation may charge, collect or receive for furnishing gas
or electricity to the City of San Luis Obispo and to the inhabitants
thereof, is hereby fixed and established, as follows:-
(a) GAS FURNISHED FOR ANY PURPOSE:
For the first Fifteen thousand (15,000) cubic feet of 'gas
consumed in one month, the rate shall be One and 25100 0;1,25)
Dollars for each-One thousand (1000) cubic feet consumed. For gas
consumed in one month in excess of Fifteen thousand (15,.040) cubic
feet n;d not in.exceBs of Twenty -five thousand (25,000) cubic feet,
the rate shall be One and *100 (01.15) Dollars for each One thousand
(1000) cubic feet . consumed.
For gas consumed in one month in excess of. Twenty -five thousand
(25000) cubic feet, the ,rate shall be One ($1.00) Dollar for each
One thousand (1000 ) cubic feet consume

(b) ELECTRICITY FURNISHED FOR ILLUMINATION:
For electricity for the first Twenty (20) kilowatt hours
consumed in one month, the rate shall be•Eleven (11¢) cents per
kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of
Twenty (20) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of Forty (40) kilowatt
hours, the rate shall be Ten and 1/2 (10 112 ¢) cents per kilowatt hour.

For electric current consumed in one-month in excess of Forty
(40) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of. Seventy (70) kilowatt
hours, the rate shall be Ten (14) cents per kilowatt hour:,
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of
Seventy (70) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of One hundred (140)
kilowatt hours, -the rate shall be Nine and 1/2 (9 1/2 J) cents per
kilowatt hour.,
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of
One hundred (100) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of Two hundred
eats
(200) kilowatt hours-, the rate shall be Nine (9 ¢).per kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of Two
hundred (200) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of Three hundred fifty

kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of Three
hundred fifty (350) kilowatt hours, and not in excess of Five hundred

(500) kilowatt hours, the rate shall be.Eight (8 ¢) /per kilowatt hour.
For electric current donsumed in one month in excess of Five

Y. FURNISHED FURNISHED FOR POWER:.
The maximum rates for electricity furnished for power for
the first 50 kilowatt hours consumed in one month, the rate shall be
10 cents per kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of
50 kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 150 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 8 cents per kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of
150 kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 250 .kilowatt. hours the
rate shall be 7 cents per kilowatt hour.

For.eleetric current consumed in one month in excess of 250
kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 350 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 6 1/2 cents per kilowatt hour•.
For electric current'consumed'in one month in excess of 350
kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 500 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 6 cents per kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in.one Month in excess of 500,
kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 600 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 5 1/2 cents per kilowatt hour.

shall be 5 cents per kilowatt hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of 750
kilowatt hours, and not in excess :.of 900 kilowatt hours, the rate.
shall be 4 1/2 cents per kilowatt.hour.
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of 900
kilowatt hours -, and not.in excess of 1000 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 4 cents per kilowatt hour',
For electric current consumed in one month in excess of 1000
kilowatt hours, and not in excess of 2000 kilowatt hours, the rate
shall be 3 1/2 cents per kilowatt.hour.
For electric current consumed -in one month in excess of 2000
kilowatt hours, the.rate shall be 3 cents per kilowatt ho=,
(d) ELECTRICITY FURIIISHED THE CITY. FOR STREET LIGHTS:
For electric current furnished the City for street lights
including the furnishing, care and maintenance of 6.6 series A.C.
enclosed ares, the rate shall be $6.50 per lamp per month for all
night service.
For electric currentfurnished the City for street lights

This ordinance shall take effect on the 1st der of July,'1912,
Section IV.
This ordinance-shall before its final passage be passed to
print and published with the ayes and noes for two days in the
�.L$Hxpt Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and
circulated in said`City.
Section V.
Introduced this 21st day of.February, 19129 and voted upon
and passed to print by the following.vote.
