BE IT ORDAINED by the Councir of the City of Sant Luis Obispo as follows
to That the San Luis Obispo ami.cipal Code ,hall be and is hereby atmeaded,
to add the following:
SECTION 4285 "Definition" - The term "dangerous and deadly weapon" as
used in this ordinance Includes, but is not limitcad to, any revolver, pistol,
shOuguin} rifle, or firearm which may be used far the explosion of cartridges

and arrow, blow g1m, and any weapon or device capable of catapulting.,, dispelling,

or*di.schsrging any projectile, missile, or object of any type.
SECTIWII 4285„1 "Discharge" - it shall be unlawful for any person to
fi.r:e, discharge,, or cause to be emittad any projectile, missile& or object from,
any dangarova or deadly weapon in the City of Sam Luis Obispo,, srn2ess said per -
son has first obtained permission in writing from the Chief of police and txnen
.(mlr in climpli.ance with all of the conditions contai=ned in said definition. ' hir,
section does not apply to any peace --officer or member of the Armed. "Erdrees of
the Unst.ed States in the discharge of his duty or to the discharge of a dangerous
or deadly weapon at any rifle, pistol, sports or .testing range approved by the
Chief of Police.
SECTION 4285.2 "Nuisance" A Any dangerous or deadly weapons used in
violation of Section 4285.2 is 'hereby declared to be a nuisance and the sancta
shall be taken frm the persona violating said ordinance and surrendered to the
Chief of Police, aunt shall the destroyed or otherwise disposed of, as provided
by the provi.sioraw of section 12028 of the Penal Code of the Stage of CaUlornia.
