ORDINANCE No. 179 (New Series)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 76
(Neer Series) BY ADDING A NEW SECTION TO
BE NMMBERED SECTION 34 1/2 PROVIDING A
LICENSE FOR THE BUSINESS OF BOTTLING
AND SELLING SOFT DRINKS.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo, as follows: -
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 76 (New Series) entitled,
ttkn Ordinance Licensing and Regulating the Doing of Certain
Acts and the Carrying on of Certain Trades, Callings, Business,
Professions and Occupations Within the Corporate Limits of the
City of San Luis Obispo, California, and Prescribing Penalties
for the Violation thereoff, is hereby amended by adding thereto
a new section to be numbered Section 34 1/2 and to read as
follows:-
Section 34 1/2. Every person, firm or corporation
engaged in the business of bottling soda water and other soft
drink beverages and selling the same at whole sale, shall pay
a license fee of Five Dollars per quarter, unless the average
monthly sales shall amount to Six Hundred Dollars, or over, in
which case such person, firm or corporation shall pay the mer-
chandising license provided to be paid by Section 59 of this
ordinance. The license herein provided shall not permit the
sale of soft drinks at retail but a separate license shall
be obtained for retail sales.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish this ordinance, together with the /Ayes and Noes, for
two days before its final passage in the "Daily Telegram't a
daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said
City.
