BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, as follows: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 76 (New Series) entitled, T'An Ordinance licensing and regulating the doing of certain acts and carrying on of certain trades, callings, businesses, - )rofessions and occupations within the corporate limits of the City of San Luis Obisoo, California, and pre- scribing nenalties for the violation thereoftl is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be numbered Section 441 and to read as follows: Sectiori 441. Every Person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of renting out or placing in various locations within the City of San Luis Obispo, automatic vending machines, or coin operated nhonogra, -)hs or other musical devices delivering music, shall nay a license fee of X5.00 per , quarter, and, in addition thereto, such person, firm or corporation shall nay a license for each machine, phonogranh or _musical device delivering music rented out or niaced in said city, as follows: k (a) On automatic vending machines v:rhere the price per unit.is five cents (A.05) or more, the sum of 01.00 per quarter, or any part of any quarter for each machine rented out or placed within said city. (b) On coin operated phonograph or other musical device delivering music, the sum of $1.00 per quarter or any part of any quarter, for each phonogrpah or other device delivering music, rented out or placed Within said city. An application for such license shall be filed each quarter, as required by Section 1.1 of i�his ordinance, and such application shall state the number of machines rented out or placed and the particular locations 'where such machines are rented out or placed. - i No such license shall authorize a change in the location of any such machine during any quarter, but should a change be made or a, new machine ?laced at any time during a quarter, a new application respecting such change shall be filed tivith the City Clerk. The provisions of this section and the }payment of such license on any automatic cigarette vending machine shall not be construed to waive or dis- Dense with the payment of the license reouired by Section 44 of this or- dinance for the sale of cigars and tobacco as a sideline. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cublish this ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes, for two days before its final - assage in the I'Daily Telegram'? a daily newspaper printed, ?published and circulated in said City.
