ORDINANCE NO. 2. (ilEW SERIES)

An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries cE' the Chief Officials of the City
of San Luis Obispo.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City\ of San Luis Obispo as follows:
Section 1. There shall be allowed and ,:mid to the several chief officials
of the City of San Luis Obispo salaries as follows, to wit:
The City Treasurer shall receive a salary of $35.00 per month as full
compensation for all services required of him by law or by virtue of his
office.
The City Attorney shall receive a salary of 475.00 per month as full
compensation for all services required of him by law or by-virtue of
his office.
The City Colledtor shall receive a salary of $125.00 per month as full
compensation for all services.required of him by law or by virtue of his
office.
The City Engineer shall receive as compensation for his services for
each and every day's work when employed by the City to peTrfonn any work
by the day the sum of $6.00 per day.
The Chief of Police shall receive a salary of $100.00 per month as full
compensation for all services required of him by law or by virtue of his
office.
The Street Superintendent shall receive a salary of $100.00 per month
as full compensation for all services required of him by law, or by vir-
tue of his office.
The Fire Chief shall receive a salary of 425.00 per month as full Com-
pensation for all services required of him by law or by virtue of his
office .

Section 2. The salaries of the above named officials ^shall be paid
on the last day of every month by warrant drawn and signed as regrAred
by Section 56 of the Charter of the City of San Luis Obispo.
Section 3. The salary of the City Engineer shall be paid as other
dem nds are paid by said City.
Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be urgent, and neces-
sary to carry on the form of government provided by the Charter, and is
passed in order to establish and maintain without intermission an effective
I dity government, and to irmediately preserve the public peace, health
and safety, and shall take effect innmediately after its final passage.
Section 6. This ordinance together with the ayes and noes shall be
passed to print and published for two days in the
a daily newspaper printed, published
and circulated in the City of San Luis Obispo.
