HomeMy WebLinkAbout0202N' S ORDINANCE MO._2Q2__(New Series) AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX FOR THE CURRENT FIS- CAL YEAR (1939'- 1940) UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CIT "OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AND FIXING THE RATE OF SUC TAX. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follo1TTs: SECTION 1. There is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property z;iithin the City San Luis Obispo, State of California, said City beginning on the lst day of of d, 1.38 on each one hundred dollars for the purposes herein specified and in the City Treasury, as follows: of San Luis a tax for t July, 1939, in value of apportioned Obispo, County of pie fiscal year of and now current, said property, among the funds 1. For the General Fund there is levied a. tax of S .85 on each one hundred dollars in value of said property. 2. For each of the follot�Ting bond funds there is levied a tax on each one hundred dollars in value of said property, to be used in paying the accruing interest and. maturing bonds of the various issues of bonds heretofore issued by the City of San Luis Obispo, iuhich tax is in the amount, and is to be apportioned among such bond funds in the City Treasury; as follovrs: (a) For the Improvement Bond Fund of 1909, evidenced by bon.d.s dated July 1, 19099 a. tax of $ .067; (b) For the City Farm Bond Fund, evidenced by bonds dated Anril 1; 1918, a tax of .014; (c) For the Improvement Bond Fund of 1922, evidenced by bonds dated July 1, 1922, a tax of A .052; (d) For the Improvement Bond Fund of 1925, evidenced by bonds dated June 1, 7.925, a tax of $ .015; (e) For the Severer Extension Bond Fund of 1927, evidenced bar bonds dated October 1, 1927, a tax of $ .021; 7P9 °) (f) For the Miller and Lux Laguna Property Bond Fund, evidenced by bonds dated. October 1, 1927, a tax of $ .024; (g) For the Seger Extension Bond Fund of 1929, evidenced by bonds dated July 1, 1929, a tax of $ .024; (h) For the Bridge and Culvert Bond Fund of 1929, evidenced by bonds dated July 1, 1929, a tax of $ .018; (i) For the Sewer Extension Bond Fund of 1931, evidenced by bonds dated July 1, 1931, a tax of $ .021; (j) For the dater Bond Fund of 1939, Series A, evidenced by bonds dated July 1, 1939, a tax of $ .024; 3. For the Library Fund there is levied a tax of $ .10 on each one hundred dollars in value of said property. 4. For the Improvement Fund of said City there is levied a tax of $ .15 on each one hundred dollars in value of said property. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, for two days before its final passage, in the Telegram - Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, -published and circulated in said City, and the same shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage.
