ORDINANCE No. 232 (New Series)
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO.
✓ Be IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo
as follows:
SECTION1. It is hereby determined and declared by the City
Council of the City of San Luis Obispo that the public interest
demands and that it is to the advantage of the City of San Luis
Obispo that the real property hereinafter described, owned by said
City, be leased for a period of three (3) years beginning on the
lst. day of January, 1942.
SECTION 2. Said City Council does hereby determine and
declare that it is the intention of said City Council to enter into
a lease of said real property.
SECTION 3. When this ordinance shall take effect, the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and for
holding a public auction of said lease. A form of said lease shall
be prepared, and after approval of the form by the City Council,
v shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk, and a y lease awarded
shall be upon such form. During the time of advertising such form
of lease shall be open to public inspection, which fact shall be
stated in such advertising.
SECTION 4. Said lease shall be made at public auction to
the highest bidder at the highest monthly rent; provided said City
Council may at its discretion reject any and all bids. Upon said
lease being awarded the Mayor of said City is hereby authorized to
execute said lease for qnd on behalf of said City, which execution
shall be attested by the City Clerk.
SECTION 5. The real property intended to be leased is
described as that certain two story brick building facing on
Pismo Street, known as and numbered 738 Pismo Street, in said City
(excluding the rear portion thereof used as a City garage and.
repair shop) and being situated on part of Lot 7, in Flock 88, of
Murray and Church's Addition to said City of San Luis Obispo.
SEC'T'ION 6. This ordinance together with the
Ayes and Noes shall be published for two days before its final
passage in the Telegram- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, pub-
lished and circulated in said City, and shall take effect and be
in force thirty days after its final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT this 17th. day of
November, 1941, by the following vote:
