ORDINANCE NO. 238 (New Series)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 44 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 76 (NEW SERIES).
BE ZIT )ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 44 of Ordinance No. 76 (New Series)
entitled "An Ordinance Licensing and Regulating the Doing of Certain
Acts and the Carrying on of Certain Trades, Callings, Business, Pro"
fessions and Occupations Within the Corporate Limits of the City of
San Luis Obispo, California, and Prescribing Penalties for the Viola-
tion thereof ", finally passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of San Luis Obispo-on the 15th day of March, 1920, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 44. Every person, firm or corporation conducting
or carrying on the business of selling cigars, cigarettes or tobacco,
when the same are sold only as a side line and in conjunction with
some other business for which a..license is paid under this Ordinance,
shall pay a license fee of One Dollar per quarter in addition to any
other license.
SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and
noes, 'shall be published for two days before its final passage in
the Telegram- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and circu-
lated in said city, and the same shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT this 16th day of March,
1942, by the following vote:
