AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR
1963 -64 UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN
LUIS OBISPO, AND FIXING THE RATE OF SUCH TAX.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows*.
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property within
the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, other than property
designated as being in Code Area B by the City Assessor, said property being contained in the
Industrial Annexation to the City of San Luis Obispo dated May 23, 1960, a tax for the fiscal
year of said City beginning on the first day of July, 1963 and now current, of $1.50 on each
One: Hundred Dollars in value of said property, for the purposes herein specified and apportioned
among the funds in the City Treasury as follows:
1. For the General Fund, there is levied a tax of $0.795 on each One Hundred
Dollars in value of said property.
2. For the Public. Improvement and Betterment Fund of said City, there is levied
a tax of $0.30 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
3. For,the Library Fund of said City, there is levied a tax of $0.20 on each
One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
4. For the Park and Recreation Fund of bald City, there is levied a tax of $0.20
on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
5. For each of the following bond funds, there is levied a tax on each One
Hundred Dollars in value of said property, to be used In paying the accruing interest and matur-
ing bonds of the various issues of bonds heretofore issued by the. City of San Luis Obispo, which
tax is in the amount and is to be apportioned among such funds in the City Treasury as follows:
(a) For. the Sewer Extension Bond Fund of 1927, evidenced by bonds dated
October, 1927, a tax of $0.0027.
(b) For the Bridge and Culvert Bond Fund of 1929, evidenced by bonds
dated July 1, 1929, a tax of $0.0023.

SECTION 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property within
the City of San Luis Obispo contained in Code Area B as designated by the City Assessor, said
property being contained in the Industrial Annexation to the City of San Luis Obispo dazed May
23, 1960, a tax for the fiscal year beginning on the first day of July, 1963 and now current, of
$1:495 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property, for the purposes specified in
Section 1 above, excepting only those taxes specified in subsection 5 thereof, all properties
shin said Code Area B being exempted from such bond fund taxes
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in
full, at least three days before its final passage, in the San Luis Obispo County Telegram -Tri Am e,
a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and the same shall take effect
and be in force from and after its final passage.
