HomeMy WebLinkAbout0286ORDINANCE No. 286 \ AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY CITY CLERK, PRESCRIBING TBE DUTIES THEREOF, AND FIX- ING THE APdOUNT OF BOND FOR SAID OFFICE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, as follows: SECTION I. There is hereby created the office of Deputy City Clerk of the City of San Luis Obispo. Said officer shall be appointed by the City Council, shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Council, and shall receive such salary as may be determined by resolution of the City Council. SECTION II. The Deputy City Clerk shall perform such duties re- lating to the office of City Clerk as may be assigned by said latter Official. During the absence or disability of the City Clerk said Deputy Clerk shall perform any and all duties required by law to be performed by the City Clerk. SECTION III'. Before entering upon the duties of said office, the Deputy City Clerk shall furnish a bond with a surety company as sole surety, payable to the City of San Luis Obispo in the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars .($79500.00 )1 conditioned that said Deputy City Clerk will well, truly, honestly and faithfully perform the duties of said office. SECTION 1V. This Ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes, shall be published for two days before its final passage in the Telegram Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and the same shall take effect and be in force thirty days after its final passage.
