ORDINANCE NO. 287 (196 - Series) AN CIRDINANCE PROVIDING FOR Ti1I.i,61NATION OF WATER SERVICE UPON —EFU: AL TO INSTALL SEWER, BACK UP VALVE . B E IT O R DA I N E D by the Council of the City of van Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 8201.1.5 shall be and is hereby added to the yiunicipal Code, to read as follows: SECTION 8201.1.5. ALT; ENNATE PJGKi: TO TEi_1'JNATE V"IATER SEaVICE. As an alternate to the -procedure set forth in Section 8201. 1, if the property owner fails to install and ia.intain a back water trap or back water valve in good working condition when requested under this part, the City Engineer may order and require termination of water service to the parcel and all structures connected to the sewer outlet subject to over -flow. Said water service shall not be reinstated until the maintenance or installation of the back: water trap or back: water valve has been approved by the City Eno neer. SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a news- paper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said final passage.
