ARLINGTON ADDITION, CALIFORNIA PARK SUBDIVISION, RE-
SUBDIVISION OF CALIFORNIA PAR"', TRACT Nav1BER 28 A RE-
SUBDIVISION OF CALIFORNIA PARIS, SUBDIVISION OF PART OF
THE EDTM.RD LOVE ESTATE, MTOUNT PLE SA14TON SQUARE SUB-
DIVISION, MOUNT PLEAS.AITON SQUARE NO. 2. SUBDIVISION,
BREED'S ADDITION, JOHNSONtS SUBDIVISION, TRACT NO. 11,
TRACT NO. 31, PORTIONS OF TT7 SOUTHEAST ONE- QUARTER OF

BASE AND T.IERIDIAN, TO THE, CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO .
'WHEREAS, after proceedings duly had and conducted by the City
Council of the City of San Luis Obispo fo.r that purpose, pursuant to
the "Annexation Act of 191311, (Statutes of 1913,page 587), as amended,
an election was held on the 13th day of July, 1948, the terri-
tory hereinafter described, at which election the question whether said
territory should be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of the
City of San Luis Obispo, and that the property within said territory,
after such annexation, be subject to taxation equally with the property
within said City of San Luis Obispo, to pay for all of the bonded in-
debtedness of said city for the acquisition, construction and completion
of various municipal improvements, incurred and outstanding at the time
of such annexation, and all bonded indebtedness heretofore authorized
and to be represented by bonds of said city hereafter to be issued, was
submitted to the qualified electors residing within said territory.---
AND, ;`E-IEREAS, said election was duly and regularly held and con-
ducted, the ballots counted, and the ballots, tally sheets and returns
delivered to and deposited with the City Clerk of the City of San Luis
Obispo.
AND, "IMEAS, said City Council at its regular meeting next after
the expiration of three days from and after the date of said election,
did meet and proceed to canvass said returns, and upon the completion

thereof did cause a record thereof to be made and entered upon its
minutes, stating the proposition submitted and showing the whole
number of votes' :.cast thereon in the territory proposed to be annexed,
the number of votes, cast therein in favor of annexation, and the,
number of votes cast therein against annexation.
AND�7MRZAS, upon the completion of said canvass it was deter-
mined that more'. than a majority of the votes cast at said election
were cast in favor of said question of annexation and,that the pro-
position of annexation carried,,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIl'`'ED by the Council of the City of
San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo,
being the legislative body of said city, does hereby approve such
annexation.
SECTION 2. That the territory herein' referred to, and within
which said election was held, is situated in the County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, is contiguous to the City of 'San Luis
Obispo and the exterior boundaries thereof are specifically described
as follows
Beginning at the point of .intersection of the east and north
City Limit boundary lines of the City of San Luis Obispo said
point of 'beginning also being -the northeast corner of: the City
Limits of said'. City; Then.ce' northerly and along the. northerly
prolongation of the east City Limit boundary line,of said City
to a point of intersection with the easterly prolongation of
the northerly boundary line. of Slack Street said northerly
boundary line of Slack Street being as shown and delineated on
the map of the Phillips Addition as recorded and filed August
27, 1902 in Volume A page 162 of San Luis Obispo County Records;
thence westerly and along the said prolongation of the northerly
boundary line of said Slack Street and westerly along the
northerly boundary line of said Slack Street to a point of
intersection with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
boundary line of Grand Avenue as shown and delineated on the
map of the aforementioned Phillips Addition; thence : north
distant 25 feet to a point; thence South 89 degrees 58 minutes
I "lest and along a line parallel to aforementioned Slack Street
distant 1486.3 feet to a point;, thence on a curve to the right
tangent to the last described course with a radius of 95 feet
through an included angle of 87 degrees 3 minutes to a point
tangent to the easterly boundary line. of the. northwesterly
continuation of Slack Street and a public road; thence north -
westerly and along the easterly boundary of said Slack Street
and public road to a point at the intersection of the north-
easterly prolongation of the southerly boundary lines of Lots

67 to 70 inclusive, and /or the northerly line of Foothill
Boulevard as shown on map of the Resubdivision of part of
California Park as filed and recorded Burch 7, 1929 on
page 117, Volume 3 of taps, San Luis Obispo County Records;
thence southwesterly and along the northerly line of said
Foothill Boulevard to the southeasterly corner of Lot 87
of the aforementioned Resubdivision of part of California
Park; thence southwesterly and along the southerly line of
said Lot 87 to the southwest corner of said Lot 87; thence
northwesterly and along the westerly line of said Lot 87
to the northwest corner of said Lot 87; thence southwesterly
and alone the northerly boundary lines of Lots 88 to 93 in-
clusive to`the aforementioned Resubdivision of part of
California Park and along the northerly boundary lines of
Lots 25 to 27 inclusive to the California Park Subdivision
as filed and recorded December 2, 1919 in flap Rook 2 page
36 of San .Luis Obispo County Records and along the south-
westerly prolongation of the northerly boundary lines of
said Lots 25 to 27 inclusive to a point on the westerly
boundary line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right of
Way; thence northwesterly and along the westerly boundary
line of said Right of Way to a point which bears East a
distance of 32 feet, more or less, from the one- quarter
section corner common, to Sections 22 and 23 in Township
30 South, Range 12 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian;
.thence West distant 32 feet, more or less, to aforementioned
one - quarter section corner; thence southerly and along the
section line common to the aforementioned Sections 22 and
23 to a point 'which bear's 1320 feet northerly from the
common section corner to�Sections 22, 23, 26 and 27 of
Township 30 South, Range ,East., IM M; -thence westerly and
along a line 1320: feet north of and parallel to the common
section line of the aforementioned Sections 22 and 27 to a
point on the westerly'boundary line of the Southeast one -
quarter of the Southwest one - quarter of the aforementioned
Section 22; thence southerly and along the westerly line of
said Southeast one - quarter of Southwest one - quarter of
Section 22 a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence westerly and along a line 720 feet north of and
parallel to the common section line of the aforementioned
Sections 22 and 27 to a point at the intersection with a
line 440 feet west of and pprallel to the section line
common to Sections 21 and 22, Township 30 South, Range 12
East, SA .D .M; thence southerly and along a line 440 feet
west of and parallel to the commonsection line of the said
Sections 21 and 22 and along a line 440 feet west of and
parallel to the common section line to Sections 27 and 28,
Township 30 South, Range 12 Fast, JI.D.M. to a point 175 feet
South of the common section line of aforementioned Sections
21 and 28; thence easterly and along a line 175 feet south
of and parallel to the common section line of said Sections
21 and 28 and the common section line to the aforementioned
Sections 22 and 2.7 to a point on the west boundary line of
Tract No. 11 as shown on map filed and recorded May 7, 1932
in Volume 5 of InTaps, page 30 of San Luis Obispo County
Records; thence southerly and along the westerly boundary
of said Tract No. 11 to the southeasterly corner of said
Tract No. 11; thence easterly and along, the southerly
boundary of said Tract No. 11 and along the southerly boundary
of Tract No. 31 as shown on map filed and recorded April 1,
1941 in Volume 5 of %-laps, page 50 of San Luis Obispo County
Records to the southeasterly corner of the aforementioned
Tract No. 11; thence southerly and along the southerly pro-

longation of the easterly boundary line of said Tract
No. 11 to a point distant 1320 feet south of the common
section line to the aforementioned Sections 22 and 27;
thence westerly and along a line 1320 feet south of and
parallel to the common section line to said Sections 22
and 27 distant 416 feet, more or less, to a point; thence.
southerly and along a line 660 feet west of and parallel
to the common line between the Northwest one- quarter and
the Northeast one - quarter of aforementioned Section 27
to a point distant 1980 feet south of the common section
line to the aforementioned Sections 22 and 27; thence
easterly and along a line 1980 feet south of and
parallel to the common section line to said Sections
22 and 27 to a point on the west Uity Limit boundary
line of the City of San Luis Obispo; thence northerly
and along said west.City Limit boundary line to the
north City Limit boundary line of said City of San Luis
Obispo; thence easterly and along said north City Limit
boundary line to the east City Limit boundary line of
said City of San Luis Obispo and point of beginning.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes shall
be published for two times before its final passage in the Telegram -Tri-
bune, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said city
and the same shall take effect and be in force thirty days after its final
passage..
