WHEREAS, after proceedings duly had and conducted by the City
Council of the Uity of San Luis Obispo for that purpose, pursuant'to the
11,9nnexation Act of 191311, (Statues of 1913, page 587), as amended, anc
election was held on the 1st day of December, 1948, within the territory
hereinafter described, at which election the question whether said
territory shouldc- be-- annexedto',incorporated in, and made a part of the
City of San Luis Obispo, and that the property within said territory,
after such annexation, be subject to taxation equally with the property
within said City of San Luis Obispo, to pay for all of the bonded in-
debtedness of said city for the acquisition, construction-and completion
of various municipal improvements, incurred and outstanding at the time
of such annexation, and all bonded indebtedness heretofore authorized and
to be represented by bonds of said city hereafter to be issued, was sub-
mitted to the qualified electors residing within said territory.
AND, WHEREAS, said election was duly and regularly held and
conducted, the ballots counted, and the ballots, tally sheets and re-
turns delivered to and deposited with the City Clerk of the City of San
Luis Obispo.
AND, WHEREAS, said City.Oouncil at its regular meeting next
after the expiration of three days from and after the date of said
election, did meet and proceed to canvass said returns, and upon the
completion thereof did cause a.. record thereof to be made and entered
upon its minutes, stating the proposition submitted and showing the
whole number of votes cast thereon in the territory proposed to 'be
annexed, the number of votes cast therein in favor of

annexation,_ and the number of votes cast therein against annexation.
AND WHERE'A�, upon the completion of said canvass it was
determined that mo ;e than a majority of the votes cast at said
election were cast in favor of said question of annexation and
that the proposition of annexation carried.
Ai4D 'WHEREAZ_ , the Planning Commission of the City of San
Luis Obispo did on the 21st day of October, 1948, pass a resolution
approving the annexation of said territory to said City, a certified
copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
NOVA, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of San Luis Obispo as follows:
3ECTIM, 1,; That the City Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo, being the legislative body of said city, does hereby ap-
prove such annexation.
SECTION 2. That the territory herein referred to, and
within which said election was held, is situated in the County of
San Luis Obispo, State. of California, is contiguous to the City of
San Luis Obispo and the exterior boundaries thereof are specifically
described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of Block 5
of the Goldtree Vineyard Tract as shown on map filed and
recorded September 30, 1893, in Licensed Surveyors Map
Book no. 1, page 14, San Luis Obispo County Records, said
point of commencement also being.the northeasterly corner
of Lot 4, Block 5 of said Goldtree Vineyard Tract; thence
Southeasterly and along the Northeasterly boundary of afore-
mentioned Block 5 to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 15,
Block 5 of aforementioned Tract; thence Easterly and along
the south line of the aforementioned Tract, said south
line also being the south boundary lines of Lots 0, P, R,
and S in said Goldtree Vineyard Tract, to a point distant

1320 feet west of the one - quarter section corner common
to Section 36, Township 30 South, Range 12 East, Mount
Diablo Base, and Meridian and Section 31 Township 30
South, Range 13 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian;
thence southerly and along a line parallel to and distant
1320 feet west of the common section line to the - aforementioned
Sections 36 and 31 to a point 1320 feet north of the common
Section line to said Section 36, Township 30 south, Range
12 East; and Section 1, Township 31 South, Range 12 East,
Mount Diablo Base and meridian; thence easterly and along
a line parallel to and distant 1320 feet north of the common
section line to the aforementioned Sections 36 and 1 to
a point on the common section line to the aforementioned
section 3b, Township 30 South, Range 12 East and Section
31, Township 30 South, Range 13 East; thence southerly and
along the said common section line to the common section
corner of Section 36, Township 30 South, Range 12 East,
Section 31, Township 30 S::uth, Range 13 East, Section 6,
Township 31 South, Range 13 East and Section 1 Township
31 South, Range 12 East, all determined from the Mount
Diablo Base and Meridian; thence westerly and along the
common section line to the aforementioned Section 36 and
Section 1 distant 1360 feet, more or less, to a point of
intersection with the westerly line of a roadway 60 feet
in width commonly known as County Raad Number 257 and /or
Johnson Street Extension; thence southerly and along the
westerly line of said Road Number 257 distant 1280 feet,
more or less, to the northerly line of a roadway 40 feet
in width commonly known as County Road Number 34; thence
westerly and along the northerly line of said County Road
Number 34 to the northeasterly boundary line of the Southern

,Pacific Railroad Right -of -way; thence northwesterly and
along the northeasterly boundary line of aforementioned
Southern Pacific Railroad Right -of -way to the South City
]Limit boundary line of the City of San Luis Obispo; thence
easterly and along the aforementioned South City Limit
Boundary Line to the East Cit.x-,,Lrmitc.Bvundary Line of
aforementioned City of San Luis Obispo; thence northerly:
and along the aforementioned East City Limit Boundary
line to the northwesterly boundary line of Block 5 of
the aforementioned Goldtree Vineyard Tract; thence
northeasterly and along the northwesterly boundary line
of said Block 5 Goldtree Vineyard Tract to the point of
commencement.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, together with the ayes and
noes, shall be published for two times before its final passage in
the Telegram- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and cir-
culated in said city and the same shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PA -SED TO print the 6th day of December
