HomeMy WebLinkAbout0347NORDINANCE NO. 347 (New Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, AND DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as follows: SECTION I. That having complied with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended, of the State of California, -the hereinafter described parcel of real property designated as "TIME FERRINI ADDITION" being uninhabited property and contiguous to the City of San Luis Obispo, County of.San Luis Obispo, State of California, be and the same is hereby annexed to the said City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. Said real property is described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point which bears 1320 feet north of the common boundary between Sections 22 and 27, Township 30 South, Range 12 East, IVIDM, said point being on the westerly boundary line of the Southeast one quarter of the South ^Jest one quarter of the aforementioned Section 22, thence westerly along a line 1320 feet north of and parallel to the line cordon to the aforementioned Sections 22 and 27 and Sections 21 and 28, to a point 440 feet west of the common boundary of Sections 22 and 21, Township 30 South, Range 12 East, YIDMI, thence southerly along a line 440 feet west of and parallel to the aforementioned common boundary between Sections 21 and 22 to a point, thence easterly along a line 720 fert north of and parallel t'o the common boundary to Sections 21 and 28,'and Sections 22 and 27 to a point on the westerly boundary line of the Southeast one quarter of the Southwest one quarter of the aforementioned Section 22, thence northerly on said westerly boundary of the ;Southeast one quarter of the Southwest one quarter of said Section 22, a distance of 600 feet more or less, to point of beginning, -1- ,-�.d17 containing 25 acres more or less, and said property being adjacent to the existing city limits of the City of San Luis Obispo. SECTION II. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety, and shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage and adoption. The following is a specific statement showing the urgency of this ordinance: The territory to be annexed is part of the proposed Foothill Boulevard et al Sanitary Improvement District No. 2; that unless this annexation ordinance becomes effective immediately upon its final passage the initial City Council action for the creation of said sani- tary improvement district will be delayed for at least one month; and that the creation of said sanitary improvement district is urgently needed because of the many new homes being completed each week in the so- called IVIcNlillan project, which homes are desperately needed for housing in said city, and which homes will be provided with sewage disposal service through said proposed sanitary improvement district. SECTION III. This ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes, shall be published for two days before its final passage in the Telegram - Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said city.
