B E IT O R DA I N E D by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. In accordance with the public auction duly noticed and held on i�:_onday,
June 19, 1967, that certain parcel of approximately 153.3 acres of grazing land at Lama
Lake previously advertised for lease is hereby leased to lv'a.donna Construction Company for
the sum.of Forty Cents ($.40) per acre per month, for a term of five (5) years, with an option
to renew for another year at the expiration of said term, in accordance with the conditions,
covenants and provisions of that certain. Lease which wAs the basis for the advertised bids, a
copy of which Lease is on file in the Office of the City Clerk,
SECTION 2. Because of the high fire hazard created by the hot, dry weather and the
dry grass, weeds and other vegetation now present on the property, it is necessary that this
ordinance take effect immediately so that animals can be placed on the property to graze as
soon as possible to control the grass and other vegetation, thereby reducing the fire hazard.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Lease for and on behalf
of the City of San Luis Obispo.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, in the Telegram Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, but
the ordinance shall take effect immediately because of the urgency provisions herein set forth.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo at an
Adjourned Regular Meeting of said City Council held on July 5, 1967, on motion of Councilman
Gallagher seconded by Councilman Miller, and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Blake, Gallagher, Miller, Spring, and Mayor Whelchel
