ORDINANCE NO.��$6� (New Series)
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO FROM
J. W. FISHER
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis wbispo
as followss.
SECTION 1. That the public necessity requires that the real
property hereinafter described be acquired and purchased by the City
of San Luis Obispo from J. W. FISHER,. '
SECTION 2. The Commissioner of Supplies is hereby
authorized to purchase said property for and on behalf of said City,
for the sum of Twenty.Thousand and 00 /100 ($20,000.00) Dollars.
SECTION 3. Said real property is described as follows:

all entrances to such property. Such signs shall be approved both
as to wording and posting by the Chief of Police of the City of
San Luis Qbispo.
SECTION 5. CITATION FOR VEHICLE ILLEGALLY PARKED ON
PRIVATE PROPERTY. Any regularly employed and salaried Officer of
the Police Department of the City of San Luis Obispo may issue a
citation to the owner or driver of any motor vehicle that has been

parked or left standing on any private property, driveway or private
parking lot, or property used for private parking purposes, in
violation of Section 4 of this Ordinance. The provisions of
Section 591 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California shall be
applicable in determining responsibility for such citation, and
said Section 591 as it existed on the date of the adoption of this
Ordinance is hereby adopted by reference as a part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 6. REMOVAL OF VEHICLE ILLEGALLY PARKED ON
PRIVATE PROPERTY. Any regularly employed and salaried Officer of the
Police Department of the City of San Luis Obispo, the owner of any
private property, or the person entitled to the possession thereof
for the time being, or the authorized agent of either, may remove or
cause to be removed, any motor vehicle that has been parked or left
standing on any private property, driveway or private parking lot,
or property used for private parking purposes, in violation of
Section 4 of this Ordinance.
SECTION 7. LIABILITY FOR WRONGFUL REMOVAL OF VEHICLE.
If a vehicle removed from such private property was rightfully there,
the person or persons who complained of the presence of such vehicle
and /or the person or persons (other than members of the Police
Department) who caused such vehicle to be removed shall be liable for
any and all charges for towage, and for caring for and keeping safe
such vehicle.
SECTION 8. REMOVAL OF VEHICLE TO PLACE OF SAFETY. Any
person referred to in Section 6 of this Ordinance who removes any
vehicle from any private property in the City of San Luis Obispo, is

3. For the_Library Fund there is levied a tax of
$.16 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
4. For the Improvement Fund of said City there is
levied a tax of $.30 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said
property.
5. For the Park, Playground and Recreation Fund of
said City there is levied a tax of $.18 on each One Hundred Dollars
in value of said property.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish this ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, for
two days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a
daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City,
and the same shall take effect and be in force from and after its
final passage.
