AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE MAKING OF FALSE,
MISLEADING OR UNFOUNDED REPORTS TO THE POLICE
DEPART2UINT OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS
PROVISIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. No person shall wilfully make to the Police
Department of the City of San Luis Obispo any false, misleading
or unfounded reports, for the purpose of interfering with the
operations of the Police Department or with the intention of mis-
leading any police officer.
SECTION 2. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not more
than $300.00, or by imprisonment in the City or County jail for
a-period of not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and im-
prisonment.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance, together with the Ayes and
Noes, shall be published for two days before its final passage in
the Telegram- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and
circulated in said City and shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its final passage and approval.
