AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH
A THIRTY -FIVE M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT 01\1 iiADONNA ROAD FROM
HIGUERA STREET TO TWO HUNDRED FEET WEST OF +CALLE JOAQUIN.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 3215 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code shall be
and is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3215 Modifying the State Speed Limit on Certain Streets
or Portions Thereof.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and
traffic investigation that the speed otherwise permitted by state
law upon the following streets does not fall within reasonable
or safe limits under the conditions found to exist upon such
streets, and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit
shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets
herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

Madonna Road from Higuera Street to 200 feet
west of Calle Joaquin 35 Miles Per Hour
SECTION 2. That this ordinance, together with the ayes and noes. sl*A -11 be
published once in full., at least three (3) days before its final passage in the Telegram-
Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into
effect at the expiration of thirty days after said final passage.

Obispo at a Regular Meeting held thereof on the 20th day of January, 1969, on motion
of Councilman Blake, seconded by Councilman Gallagher, and on the following roll call
vote:
