SUBJECT. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES
ORDINANCE
The proposed amendment to the Underground Utilities Ordinance,
submitted for your consideration, will broaden the scope of
the existing Ordinance to encompass all commercial districts.
This will require all new construction and major remodels in
these districts to be serviced by underground utilities.
(Electric, Communications, Sound & T.V.) It will not affect
the established Underground Districts, nor will it prevent
creating additional districts.
Consultation with a representative of Pacific Gas & Electric
revealed they are in agreement with the proposed amendment.
