ORDINANCE NO. 512 (1970 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO SAID CITY OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "PREFUTAO CANYON
ROAD ANNEXATION NO. 1. "
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 35015 of the Government Code
of the State of California, territory proposed to be annexed to a city may be annexed
by the legislative body of the city without notice and hearing and without an election,
if all of the owners of the land within such territory consent in writing to such annexation;
and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of all of the real property in the area
described herein, more commonly known as the "Prefumo Canyon Road Annexation
No. 1 ", have requested the proposed annexation and consented and agreed that such
property shall be subjected to taxation after such annexation equally with property within
the City of San Luis Obispo to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of San Luis :Obispo
outstanding or authorized at the date of the first publication of the notice of election for
the acquisition, construction, or completion of the municipal improvements; and
WHEREAS, no written protests against the annexation have been filed; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation including the legal description of the
territory to be annexed had already been approved by the San Luis Obispo County Local
Agency Formation Commission on October 1, 1970 by Resolution No. 70 -13; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized the City to
complete the 'Trefumo Canyon Road Annexation No. 1" without further notice, hearing
or election and it appears that all proceedings relating to said annexation have been
conducted strictly in accordance with law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That the annexation of uninhabited territory contiguous to the
City of San Luis Obispo designated as "Prefumo Canyon Road Annexation No. 1" be and
the same is hereby approved and the real property in said annexation shall be subject to
taxation equally with the property within the City of San Luis Obispo to pay the bonded
indebtedness of the City of San Luis Obispo outstanding or authorized at the date of the
first publication of the notice of election for the acquisition, construction, or completion
of the municipal improvements, Said territory is located in the County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, and is described as follows:

All that portion of Lots 55 and 56 of the subdivision of the ranchos Canada
de Los Osos and La Laguna, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State o
California, according to k4ap filed for record "etober 8, 1869 in Book "A",
Page 84 of 1 laps in the Office of the County ecorder of said County, described
as follows:
Beginning at the common corner of Lots 56, 57 and 59 of the above mentioned
subdivision map, said point being an angle point in the City boundary of the
City of San Luis Obispo; Thence North 44• degrees 11 minutes 34 seconds
West, along the' common line between said Lots 56 and 570 and along the City
boundary, 2427.96 feet to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 57, and an
-angle point in said City boundary; Thence departing from said City boundary,
South 45 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds West, along the Northwesterly line
of said Lot 56, 53.00 feet more or less to a point in the Southwesterly line of
Los Osos Valley Road; Thence North 35 degrees 48 minutes 36 seconds 1,7est,
along said Southerly right of way through said Lot 55, 152.13 feet; Thence
South 54 degrees 11 minutes 14 seconds West, 1337.00 feet; Thence South
35 degrees 48 minutes 36 seconds East, 250.11 feet; Thence South 44, degrees
11 minutes 34 seconds East, through said Lots 55 and 56, 1036.70 feet; Thence
South 45 degrees 48 minutes 26 seconds West, 1069.45 feet to a point in the
Northerly right of way line of Prefumo Canon toad, (40' wide) as it now
exists; said point being in a curve concave to the Northeast and from which
point the radius point bears North 22 degrees 05 minutes 49 seconds East,
230.28 feet; Thence Southeasterly along said curve, and along said Northerly
right of way, through a central angle of 21 degrees 37 minutes 14 seconds
for an arc distance of 86.90 feet; Thence continuing along said right of way
line, the following courses; Thence on a tangent South 89 degrees 31 minutes
25 seconds East, 27.43 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave South-
westerly, said curve having a central angle of 13 degrees 47 minutes 25
seconds and a radius df 474.81 feet; Thence Southeasterly along said curve
an arc distance of 114.28 feet; Thence on a tangent, South 75 degrees 4,'•
minutes 00 seconds last, 479.05 feet; Thence South 88 degrees 44 minutes
00 seconds East, 360.77 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave
Southwesterly, said curve having a central angle of 42 degrees 23 minutes
00 seconds and a radius of 270.00 feet; Thence along said curve Southeasterly
for an arc distance of 199.73 feet; Thence on a tangent, South 46 degrees 21
minutes 00 seconds East, 330.84 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
to the North, having a central angle of 'U8 degrees 09 minutes 00 seconds and
a radius of 130,00 feet; Thence along said curve Easterly for an arc distance
of 200.01. feet; Thence departing from said Northerly right of way line, South
44 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds East, 40.00 feet to a point in the common
line between said Lots 56 and 59, and a point in the City boundary; Thence
North 45 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds East, along said common boundary
line and said City boundary, 1596.08 feet more or less to the point of beginning..
Containing 100 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, at least three days before its final passage in the Telegram Tribune, a
newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at
the expiration of thirty days after its final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a Regular Meeting held thereof on the 21st day of December, 1970 on motion
of Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Blake, and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Blake, Graham, Mliller, Spring and Mayor Schwartz
