AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX FOR THE CURRENT
1974 -75 FISCAL YEAR UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AND FIXING
THE RATE OF SUCH TAX.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property within
the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, a tax for the
fiscal year of said City beginning on the first day of July, 1974 and now current, of $1.33
on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property, for the purposes herein specified
and apportioned among the funds in the City Treasury as follows:
1. For the General Fund, there is levied a tax of $0.80 on
each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
2. For the Public Improvement and Betterment Fund of said
City, there is levied a tax of $0.30 on each One Hundred Dollars in value
of said property.
3. For the Library Fund of said City, there is levied a tax of
$0.03 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
4. For the Park and Recreation Fund of said City, there is levied
a tax of $0.20 on each One Hundred Dollars in value of said property.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said Ciry, and the same shall take effect and
be in force from and after its final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT at a Regular Meeting of said City Council held
on the 19th day of August, 1974, on motion of Councilman Norris, seconded by Mayor Schwartz,
and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Brown, Norris and Mayor Schwartz
NOES: Councilman Gurnee
ABSENT: Councilman Graham
