HomeMy WebLinkAbout0656ORDINANCE NO. 656 (1975 Series) ADOPTED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO APPROVING PROPOSED SOUTH STREET ANNEXATION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 2905, this Council, after holding a public hearing this date concerning the proposed "South Street Annexation," and after finding that there was no majority protest to said annexation, hereby approves the said annexation. The real property annexed hereunder is generally described as approximately 17.28 acres situated between Meadow and Higuera Streets southerly of South Street and generally along the alignment of Mitchell Drive; said real property is more specifically described upon Exhibit "A" attached hereto and thereby incorporated herein. SECTION 2. This Council finds that William A. Nelson, Stanley Nelson, Augustus Castro, and Mary Lucas, as owners of more than two - thirds (2/3) of the value of the territory to be annexed, have filed their written consent with the City Clerk that the territory annexed shall be liable for any indebtedness or liability of the City existing at the time of annexation and therefore all of said annexed territory shall be subject to taxation equally with all other property within the City of San Luis Obispo, to pay any indebtedness or liability of the City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram - Tribune, a news- paper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its said final passage.
